After being a fan for 40 years, I decided enough was enough and made the trip to Philadelphia earlier this month for WrestleMania 40. Here’s why you should too

5) The Spectacle

Each WrestleMania produces iconic moments that have become ingrained in the fabric of pop culture. Whether it's Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant, The Undertaker's undefeated streak, or Stone Cold Steve Austin’s return to the ring after 19 years, attending WrestleMania gives you the chance to be a part of history and witness these moments firsthand. Watching The Rock and Seth Rollins spill out over the barricade and almost onto my lap was a surreal moment that couldn’t have been experienced watching at home

4)WWE World and WWE Superstore:

WrestleMania goes beyond just the main event; it's a full-on celebration of everything WWE. One of the first extra experiences I signed up for was WWE WORLD at the Philadelphia Convention Center. It was incredible diving into the excitement of WWE World, where you can meet superstars, participate in autograph sessions, and explore exhibits. The Attitude Era walk-through and the chance to take a 360 photo with a championship were definite highlights. Also don't forget about the WWE Superstore, offering exclusive merchandise from apparel to collectibles. Whether you're meeting wrestlers or indulging in some shopping, WWE World and the Superstore truly enhance the WrestleMania experience

3) Celebrities You May See

I had the chance to meet George Kittle on the floor of WrestleMania, and he was just as excited to be there as I was. Even if you don't have a one-on-one encounter like mine, you'll likely see WWE stars and celebrities around the host city. Whether it's NXT stars hopping into their limos or former champions grabbing lunch, the atmosphere is buzzing. My tip: Stay at a hotel close to the convention center or arena; you'll probably spot them. Just remember to respect their space—it's a busy weekend for them, and they just want to enjoy their time as well, getting involved in the action, the presence of celebrities adds to the excitement and unpredictability of WrestleMania.

2)The non WWE Independent scene

WrestleMania weekend has grown beyond its marquee event, it’s a  pivotal moment in the wrestling calendar. Fully and semi Independent wrestling from the area and farther book shows to increase exposure for their product, The stars of tomorrow are a subway ride away Independently-run events during WrestleMania weekend play a vital role in talent development. 5 years ago during GCW: Joey Janela's Spring Break, I laid my eyes on Gunther (then known as Walter) for the first time as he battled former WWE Tag Champion PCO. I was amazed. That’s what independent wrestling is all about. Are they mooching off the granddaddy of them all? Sure. But we’re all better off for it

1)  Thousands and Thousands of  People that are just like you

Being surrounded by like-minded wrestling fans at WrestleMania is an unparalleled experience. Whether you're strutting through the airport unleashing a hearty "Wooo" like Ric Flair, ascending subway steps belting out a triumphant "YEAH" like L A Knight, or proudly standing outside the hotel with a single finger raised in homage to our Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, you're met with instant understanding and camaraderie. There's an unmistakable sense of belonging—no judgment, no skepticism about the authenticity of the sport. No condescending remarks like "Isn't it all fake?" or "You know it's scripted, right?" Instead, you're embraced by a community that shares your passion, humor, and deep appreciation for the rich mythology of professional wrestling.
