Movie Filmed in Hudson Valley Set For Distribution Through Paramount

A movie that was filmed in Orange and Ulster counties has been picked up for distribution worldwide. Deadline.com reports the Sci-Fi thriller Approaching The Unknown will be distributed by Paramount Home Media Distribution and Vertical Entertainment. Vertical will be taking care of the U.S. theatrical side of the deal while Paramount is covering the On Demand and digital end.

Approaching The Unknown stars British actor Mark Strong as astronaut William Stanaforth who is sent on a one man trip to Mars. His mission is part of of the human race's attempt to colonize the red planet. Shockingly things start to go wrong and he's forced to make choices that effect the fate of humanity. The entire planet is watching as the voyage takes it's toll the the craft's life support systems.
