A photo circulating on social media in the Hudson Valley could be a major clue in the investigation into the blaze at the Gap Distribution Center in Fishkill last night.

The photo appears to show a fire igniting on a series of shelves resembling the Gap warehouse. But is it real? To view the photo for yourself, you can click here.

The person who posted the image took to Facebook to explain she didn't take the picture, nor did she know who--if anyone--had started the fire. But, she also made it clear she wouldn't hide evidence and the image, along with additional information was reported to the police.

Two individuals whose social media profiles identified themselves as firefighters commented on the woman's public thread, stating that authorities at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were aware of the image and had contacted the person who originally circulated it.

When reached for comment, a dispatcher at New York State Police Troop K said on-duty supervisors were not releasing any additional information at this time regarding the fire. When asked specifically about the photo circulating on social media, the dispatcher reiterated authorities were not releasing any additional information at this time.

The Gap Distribution Center in Fishkill went up in flames overnight resulting in multiple local fire agencies rushing to the scene. The blaze lasted nearly four hours, although fire crews were fighting hot spots into the morning hours and thankfully no one was hurt.
