Beatles Memorabilia Up For Auction. Good investment? Present for your parents? Who are the Beatles?

Beatles memorabilia is on the auction block in the UK this weekend.  The guitar John Lennon played when recording The Beatles' "Paperback Writer" is among the items going up for bid in TracksAuction's "Rock & Roll Memorabilia Auction," which will take place in London on Sunday.  The hollow body Gretsch guitar is valued at 650-to-950-thousand-dollars.

Meanwhile, the complete photographic history of the Beatles' famous street crossing outside Abbey Road studios will be up for sale Friday.  Britain's Bloomsbury Auctions is selling a signed and numbered set of all the photos Iain Macmillan took for the band's iconic "Abbey Road" album cover.  The collection is expected to fetch up to 110-thousand dollars.
