The Greatest Band In The World is going on tour for the first time in five years.

It's a good time to be a Tenacious D fan right now. The band, featuring Jack Black and Kyle Gass, recently announced a sequel to their cult classic movie Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny. On top of that, they're releasing a new album which they say should hit sometime this year. And they're going on tour? This is too much. I need to be taken far away from the mucky muck.

The best part is, they'll be pretty close by. The tour stops at Kings Theater in Brooklyn on November 3rd.  Presale tickets go on sale today, and it'll be open to the public on Friday. The chance to see Jables and the Rage Cage tear it up onstage is too good to pass up. Who knows, maybe Dave Grohl will make an appearance. He and the band have a long history! Anything can happen, just don't expect them to play the greatest song in the world... it'll just be a tribute.
