WRRV Wants to Send You to the Sold Out 2021 Governors Ball

2021 marks the 10th anniversary of The Governors Ball, and September 24th-26th, the spot you'll want to be is Citi Field in Queens for this year's epic festival.

Artists including Billy Eilish, Post Malone, Bleachers, Portugal. the Man, 24K Goldn and more will be there for one of the biggest sold-out festivals of the year, will you?

Thanks to Dutchess Beer and Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer, WRRV would like to set you up with weekend passes to Governors Ball, but we just need you to do one thing....

Your favorite concert picture, a snapshot of you and your friends at a music festival, maybe even a meet and greet photo with your favorite band. Show us what you've got for your chance to head to Citi Field for a full weekend of incredible live music in September.

If you don't have the WRRV App already, just download it for free now. You can get it from the Apple App or Google Play store. Once you download it go to the menu using the three horizontal line icon, then click "Submit Media". Fill out your full name, email, phone number, and describe your picture. Tell us all about your live music experience! Where you are, who you were seeing live, any crazy stories and all details are welcome. Then, just select your picture and submit it. It's seriously that easy. You have until September 6, 2021, to submit.

A little background on The Governors Ball - it started back in 2011 on Governors Island as a one-day festival and included activities, games, a bunch of NYC restaurants, and obviously, a ton of awesome music from a variety of genres.

The 2011 launch of the multi-day music festival included Girl Talk, Pretty Lights, Empire of the Sun, Mac Miller, Big Boi of Outcast, among others.

2012 brought a second day to Gov Ball, a new venue, Randall's Island, with headliners Beck, Passion Pit, Kid Cudi and Modest Mouse.

Over the years, artists that have performed at the festival include Cage the Elephant, Fiona Apple, The Lumineers, Kanye West, Guns N' Roses, Young the Giant, Jack White, Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, Jack White, The Black Keys, Florance + The Machine, Vance Joy, Tame Impala, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Cold War Kids, Tool, Phoenix, Lorde, The Head and the Heart, The Strumbellas, Franz Ferdinand, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Third Eye Blind, Chvrches, The 1975, and the list goes on and on.
