WRRV Halloween Playlist: (Crosses) – This Is A Trick

First off, the band of the band is actually 3 crosses, not THE WORD CROSSES.

Secondly, it's Chino from The Deftones. That should be all you need to know about how awesome this side project is.

It's more of a droning, downtempo electronic affair than The Deftones. Chino could be creepy and downright terrifying in The Deftones, but (Crosses) is more of a subtle scare. "This Is A Trick" never really accelerates and picks up pace like a Deftones song could.

When the chorus hits, and Chino is layered on top of his own voice will adding a little scream, it's almost sublime. It could also easily end up on a suspense horror movie soundtrack.

You need this song on Halloween.
