Big News from One of Orange County’s Favorite Coffee Shops
One of the Hudson Valley's favorite caffeine destinations has made some major announcements about the future of one of their Orange County locations.
While every small business is a labor of love, many don't even survive their first year. 2 Alices Coffee Lounge, with locations in both Cornwall, NY and Newburgh, NY, has thankfully been an exception.
2 Alices Coffee Lounge Undergoing Big Change
Recently, 2 Alices took to social media to make a major announcement about one of their two locations. While the coffee shop would not be closing, it would be undergoing a significant metamorphosis after ten years of business.
2 Alices "Closing" in Newburgh, NY
"2 Alices Newburgh will celebrate our last day as 2 Alices on Saturday December 21st", the coffee shop shared on Instagram (below). Though the business will lose its name and ownership will be transferred to a former employee, the post went on to explain that customers could still expect to find something familiar at 117 Broadway.
Baristas on Broadway to Replace 2 Alices in Newburgh, NY
On Thursday, January 2nd 2025, 2 Alices will become Baristas on Broadway. "The coffee, the bagels, the vibe, the music and a lot of our goods will remain exactly the same [along] with some new exciting additions", the post promised. The news should be welcomed by Newburgh residents who have unfortunately seen many new businesses falter and close (or catch fire, which was an unfortunate trend earlier in 2024).
