I've always thought the ideas of Tesla were top notch and life would probably be better if we went with those ideas instead of Edison's, but that's in the past. Now his name lives on as a brand of cars among other things.

Ever since the first time my dad told me about the Tesla cars I've wanted one, but for the price tags that they have I could never afford one... or so I thought. In 2015 they plan to release a budget Tesla, the Model E, that would end up with a price tag of $30,000 after tax credit. It's still up there but it's a hell of a lot better than $70,000.

At first I thought this would be sweet and it'll have the same standards as the high-end ones, but then I got to thinking that it's still a budget version. I mean, it's likely to have 200 mile battery range, pretty high end to me.

Let me ask this of you: If you're going to get a high-end car, is the budget version still good enough? I think so.
