Home sharing recently came to the Hudson Valley and Catskills region, as well as millions of dollars in revenue.

Lohud reports that Airbnb hosts in the Hudson Valley and Catskills made $50 million in 2018. Hosts across the region served more than 300,000 guests. Ulster County was the top-earning county in the region.

According to Lohud, Ulster County had 149,800 guests in 2018. Hosts in Ulster County made $24.4 million collectively. Ulster County has roughly three times as many hosts as Dutchess and Westchester County, and about 14 times as many hosts as Rockland County.

Lohud says that one of the biggest attractions in the region is the Shawangunk Mountains. Making it perfectly clear why Ulster County was the highest grossing county in the region for Airbnb in 2018.
