almost monday Brings the Energy To WRRV Sessions
I've been saying this since the second almost monday stepped foot into the crowded taproom at Newburgh Brewing Company on Wednesday, November 12th - the energy in the room was insane. It is rare for me to not be able to find the right words, but there was something really special about our latest WRRV Sessions show, and I just don't know how to describe it.

Full House for almost monday at Sessions
We threw a Wednesday night Sessions at you but that didn't stop the Hudson Valley from showing up in a pretty big way to welcome almost monday to their debut (and seriously, hopefully not their last time) at WRRV Sessions.
Fans and family members alike traveled to get up close and personal with the band, who shared with Val during the interview a bit about their journey from a San Diego surf shop, to massive festival stages, Madison Square Garden, and to us at Newburgh Brewing Company.
Some younger fans were in the crowd, a few sharing ahead of showtime that they first saw almost monday open for AJR at MSG last summer. What a cool experience to share with the guys that just over eight years ago, AJR played the very same WRRV Sessions stage they were about to step foot on. During the interview Val joked with lead singer Dawson that he had similar dance moves to Jack from AJR as well.
Bass player Luke also had a special guest seated front row; 93-year-old grandma Mary. It was pretty touching to experience her watching her talented grandson perform. Grandma Mary can be spotted in the photo below.
almost monday Rocks WRRV Sessions Stage
almost monday played to a pretty packed Newburgh Brewing Company, giving us fan favorites like can't slow down, and sun keeps on shining, and their new song lost, which they filmed the video for while on tour overseas (yes, in five different countries).
Following the set they were kind enough to sign autographs and take pictures with fans (see some of our M&G photos below) before heading off to D.C. to continue touring with The Band Camino.
All in all, a spectacular night with top-notch energy in the taproom, and certainly a standout for the Sessions memory book. Make sure you have the WRRV app handy with your alerts turned on to be among the first to know who will take the Sessions stage next...
