We Know How To Travel Cheap From New York on Amtrak This Summer
With the summer officially here (according to the calendar, anyway), i'm sure that some planned time off from work and a nice getaway is front and center on many minds. Though with the cost of, well, just about everything these days, many families may be exploring budget-friendly options to travel outside the Hudson Valley this summer.

As someone who recently discovered how convenient travel by Amtrak is after a quick getaway to Washington D.C. back in December, have you considered utilizing the train this summer?

Amtrak Announces Cheap Fares For Select Summer Dates
Not all summer long, but during a limited run, there's a decent discount, we're talking like 25%, on 'northeast corridor' travel which includes specific stops between Boston and Washington D.C. Hudson Valley'ers would be able to plan visits to more than 30 destinations in both coach and on Amtrak high speed trains called 'Acelea' on a discount.

Some of the destinations are as reduced as $8 each way per person, a significant savings especially when you consider the total cost of a family getaway. For example, round trip to Boston for an adult fare ticket would only be $16.
