JetBlue To End Flights To These New York Destinations

New York travelers hoping to visit these cities will need to modify their plans after a major airline announced upcoming changes to service.

Changes To JetBlue Service in 2025

Travel and Leisure recently reported that JetBlue is focused on 'building a network that best serves customers and supports long term success,' and will be cutting flights to several cities, including major hubs, and significantly impacting travel to and from New York.

As for the reasoning, JetBlue sites the need to remove 'underperforming flying from their schedule,' which will in turn allow them to utilize resources better. More than half a dozen routes are currently set to be impacted around April 30, 2025, and there are changes to other routes, including international, which may 'only operate seasonally or on certain aircraft,' this according to AOL.

JetBlue Plans To Cut Half A Dozen 'Underperforming' Routes, Reduce Service

JetBlue flights to more than half a dozen cities will end in 2025 due to underperformance, the company says. Impacted flights that will be ending, or 'not returning' include:

• Westchester, NY to Charleston, SC (HPN-CHS)
• Jacksonville, FL to Fort Lauderdale, FL (JAX-FLL)
• New York, NY to Austin, TX (JFK-AUS)*
• New York, NY to Houston, TX (JFK-IAH)*
• New York, NY to Miami, FL (JFK-MIA)
• New York, NY to Milwaukee, WI (JFK-MKE)*
• New York, NY to London-Gatwick (JFK-LGW)*
• All flights to and from San Jose, CA (SJC)

The flights indicated with a * were previously operating seasonally.

In addition to the above modifications, JetBlue also plans to reduce service between Boston and Phoenix, Boston and Grenada, and New York and Tulum, all of which will become 'winter seasonal routes, and a reduction of service from New York to Paris, which will lose its second daily 'summer seasonal flight.'

The airline also shared that all flights in and out of Seattle will only have basic seating, taking place on their 'all-core' planes.

Following the changes, the JetBlue website will offer alternate flight options to those looking for travel to these impacted destinations.
