Barton Orchards just wrapped up their Oktoberfest events and now they're celebrating the spooky season with some frights and beers along with some fun for the entire family.

I love the Halloween season much like a lot of people. It is one of my most favorite times of the year. I'm usually at home on the couch eating candy and watching scary movies but there's an another thing I love doing as well and I haven' been able to do it yet. I need to get down to an apple orchard. I could do that this weekend in Poughquag and still have some Halloween fun.

Barton Orchards is hosting their Boos and Brews event and it's the perfect way to get out and enjoy the fall weather.

The two day event kicks off on Saturday, October 22 at 10 AM to 6 PM and will open again on Sunday during the same hours.

The orchard is offering all kinds of family fun. There's hayrides from 10:00 AM tp 5:00 PM. You can also pick your own apples and pumpkins.

The Tap Room is open and stocked with local beers and hard ciders. The Farm Market & Donut Room will also be open. For the kids there will be a corn maze, a fun park and pig racing. Two by Two Animal Haven will also be at the Orchard from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Tickets are $27 for ages 13 and over and $15 Children ages 4 to 12 years old with tax. Children three and under are welcome for free.
