Buffalo Bills Fans Sought for Roles in Upcoming Christmas Movie
Football fans from the Empire State are being recruited for extras as a Hallmark Christmas movie based on a legendary New York team begins filming.
Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs received praise and a bit of ridicule for being involved with the Hallmark Channel. Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story incorporated the AFC champs into its usual brand of schmaltzy Christmas romance movie. The TV movie was set in Kansas City and featured cameos from Chiefs coach Andy Reid and players like Mecole Hardman. While Patrick Mahones and Travis Kelce weren't involved in the project, Kelce's mother did have a speaking role in the film.
Hallmark Christmas Movie Filming in Upstate New York
This year's NFL tie-in with the Hallmark Channel will feature the Buffalo Bills, and filming is set to begin around Highmark Stadium and the City of Buffalo. According to the project's casting call, the movie will begin shooting on May 19 and last for about a month.
Locals are being sought for several small roles, including a nurse, a postal worker and a barista. Those who are interested can find out more from the official listing from Casting Buffalo.
Details About The Buffalo Bills Hallmark Movie
This year's NFL Hallmark Christmas movie is titled Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, which may sound familiar because it's almost identical to last year's Chiefs movie. It's unclear what the plot will be, but we can probably assume it will also follow the same formula as the Chiefs film (and practically every other Hallmark Christmas movie ever made).
There have been no announcements about which Bills players will make cameos in the upcoming film, but Damar Hamlin has already participated in the project by releasing a video announcing the movie.
Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story will be filmed entirely at locations in upstate New York and feature famous Buffalo landmarks, including Highmark Stadium.
