What Advice Did This Legendary Hollywood Star Give Me?

We have watched some of our favorite celebrities on TV shows and movies and have only dreamed of the day that we could chat with them in person.

If a celebrity gave you advice, would you take it? Personally, I was shocked when I received advice from a legendary Hollywood star.

Have You Ever Met A Celebrity Before?

Last year, I met Kelsey Grammer at Barton Orchards in Poughquag, NY. Grammer visited Barton Orchards to show his support for this locally owned farm after they experienced a devastating fire.

Hundreds of smiling faces showed up to see one of their favorite celebrities. Kelsey Grammer was on site chatting, hugging, pouring beer and lifting the spirits of those who attended.

Barton Orchards was thankful that he stopped by. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and a happy glow all thanks to Grammer who made a difference in hundreds of lives on one special day.

Kelsey Grammer, you may also know him by one of his TV names, Fraiser Crane has influenced all different age groups. 

I wonder if my radio career has any influence on growing up and watching Dr. Crane gives his listeners advice on his radio show. Did you know that Kelsey Grammer makes his own beer in the Catskills? Faith American Brewing Company was founded by Kelsey Grammer in 2015.

Recently, I met another celebrity who was visiting the Hudson Valley.

Butch Patrick "Eddie Munster" Made A Stop In The Hudson Valley

The now grown, "child werewolf" attended the Summerween Event in the Hudson Valley.

Butch Patrick played the role of Eddie Munster, also known as the child werewolf on The Munsters from 1964 until 1966. He was also in the 1966 feature film Munster, Go Home!

The word spread throughout the area that the Butch Patrick would be spending time with fans in the Hudson Valley.

What Did Butch Patrick Do While Visiting Orange County, NY?

Butch Patrick signed autographs and hosted a meet and greet in Orange County, NY.

Butch Patrick's appearance at Rock Fantasy in Middletown, NY took place on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 5pm until 7pm. The party then continued at Quinnz Pinz where guests were able to play pinball with Butch and join in on a VIP bowling party as well. 

WPDH shared that,

"Rock Fantasy has been a Hudson Valley, NY mainstay since 1985, catering to the hard rock/heavy metal community."

 

"The business started off selling records, cassettes, CDs, and t-shirts, eventually incorporating tobacco products, along with comic books and other collectibles. During the 1990s and 2000s, the store would see meet and greets from rock/metal bands to pro wrestlers along with an ever-growing collection of pinball machines."

 

"Rock Fantasy now has a huge pinball room as part of their store at 12 East Main St in Middletown, and they often host pinball tournaments out of the shop."

What Could Fans Take Home From The Meet & Greet With Butch Patrick?

It was my first time visiting Rock Fantasy in Middletown, NY and I was intrigued by all of the pinball machines inside. While I was there to meet Butch Patrick, it was fun to see the space of Rock Fantasy as well.

There were different options available for fans of Butch Patrick. Guests were able to get signed merchandise, dvds, autographed books and more for purchase.

What Advice Did This Legendary Hollywood Star, "Eddie Munster" Give Me?

I informed Butch that I would be writing an article about meeting him and sharing it on the radio waves as well. His advice to me will always be something that I remember.

Butch Patrick shared,

"No dead air and don't pop your p's."

While in college, I also learned these helpful tips and being hands-on in the industry for years, it was something that took with me. After hearing this advice from Butch, it was also a special moment for me to see how far I've come from hearing those words from a college professor. 

I'm thankful that I got to hear those inspiring words in a new light to carry on with me in the radio and entertainment industry.
