A Hudson Valley man who was allegedly found with 1,440 bags of heroin and another who's accused of selling heroin on school grounds were indicted.

On Friday, a Sullivan County Grand Jury returned indictments against two men in two separate heroin distribution cases.

George Kirschbaum, 32, of Monticello was indicted on three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

The indictment alleges Kirschbaum sold heroin to another person in October in Monticello on three different occasions.

He was arrested following a "no-knock" search warrant while allegedly in possession of 1,440 bags of heroin mixed with Fentanyl.

If convicted on all the crimes he faces up to 20 years in prison.

Richard Mead, 45, of Livingston Manor was indicted for criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance on or near school grounds.

Mead allegedly sold heroin to someone within one thousand feet of the Livingston Manor Central School grounds in October.

If convicted Mead faces up to 9 years in state prison.
