Northern Dutchess Paramedics EMS Now Empress

Empress has expanded their services/coverage in the Hudson Valley, 'strengthening its role as the leading EMS provider' in the area. An official announcement was made on October 1st announcing the acquisition of another area emergency medical services provider.

Who Are Empress and NDP?

Since 1985, Empress Ambulance Service, an LLC and PatientCare EMS Solutions Company, has been providing services to the greater NY area with headquarters in both Yonkers and Poughkeepsie. Empress has provided 911-EMS to the City of Yonkers, while offering mutual-aid response across the Hudson Valley. In addition, they 'hold emergency and non-emergency service contracts with municipalities, hospitals, correctional institutions, and private care providers throughout Westchester County and the Hudson Valley.'

In addition to the primary services listed above, Empress provides out-of-hospital care to patents through their Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) unit.

Northern Dutchess Paramedics, which was founded in 1994 and headquartered in Rhinebeck, has provided both emergency and non-emergency medical services across Dutchess and Columbia counties, and into CT for Litchfield County as well.

Empress Aquires Northern Dutchess Paramedics Emergency Medical Services (NDP)

With their commitment to 'investing in local EMS systems' while providing care to patients and support to local providers, Empress has now acquired Northern Dutchess Paramedics Emergency Medical Services.

CEO and founder of NDP Edward Murray shared the following regarding the acquisition:

The President of Empress EMS, Michael Minerva Sr. echoed many of these sentiments, adding that this acquisition reinforces their beliefs in EMS programs, healthcare partnerships and patent care

Empress shared their excitement in expanding coverage into Northern Dutchess, Columbia County, and across the border into Connecticut, and offered a welcome to the NDP employees to the Empress family.
