Noted artist and photographer Bryant Abbot took a tour of Fairfield Hills, the defunct psychiatric hospital in Newtown, Connecticut. Bryant reached out to tell me his Fairfield Hills story.

After exchanging some information, he informed me he was a photographer and had high-quality photos from inside and outside of the facility. Abbott sent me these images, they are some of the clearest and most eerie Fairfield Hills photos I've ever seen.

Fairfield Hills Psychiatric Hospital is located in Newtown, CT. The campus has been in varying degrees of restoration/development since it closed on 1995. The Town of Newtown owns it and has turned some structures into municipal buildings while others have been leased out to private businesses. The remaining vacant structures have become magnets for ghost hunters and artists.

Recently, I spoke to one of those artists, a photographer named Bryant Abbot. Our digital talk was unique and entertaining. Abbot shared his photos, his personal story and his inspirations with me. Below are his pictures of Fairfield Hills and some of what we talked about.

Absolutely absurd how talented this dude is, I'm instantly a fan. Thank you to Bryant for sharing his stuff with me so I can share it with my people. I have nothing but love for people who slow down long enough to see the world in a completely different way.
