HV Business Is Big Winner at New York Bagel Fest

A Hudson Valley bagel shop is taking a victory lap after several impressive placings in 2025's New York Bagel Fest.

Fantzye Bagels, located in Kingston, NY in Ulster County, originally got their start several years ago in Martha's Vineyard. While their Hudson Valley location (and first brick-and-mortar shop) is only a year old, the business is no stranger to awards.

The history of Fantzye Bagels is one of growth, vision, and dedication to sourdough bagels. Their fist award from New York Bagel Fest was in 2024, where their bagels received honors for "Best Outside the Boroughs". Now, they have several other accolades to add to their resume.

New York Bagel Fest 2025, which is open to bagel shops across the world, took place at Citi Field in New York City on Sunday, November 16th. Categories included Best Bagel, People's Choice, Schmear of the Year, and more. This year, Fantzye Bagels placed in three separate categories.

Fantzye Bagels Wins Schmear of the Year at New York Bagel Fest

Fantzye Bagels took home top prize for Schmear of the Year with their charred leek and lemon caper cream cheese. They also were runner-up for Best Bagel and took home an award in the best bagel sub-category of best sourdough bagel. Luckily, it's easy for Hudson Valley residents to try the award-winning bagels for themselves.
