A little while ago, I told you that Green Day's American Idiot musical was going to be performed in the Hudson Valley. Now, here's a friendly reminder that the show opens up this Friday.

The musical is based, of course, on the band's American Idiot album - in my opinion, one of the best albums of all time. But it doesn't stop there. It also incorporates several songs from 2009's 21st Century Breakdown, includes a couple of American Idiot b-sides, features an original song by Green Day written for the musical, and concludes with a performance of "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)." Obviously, any fan of Green Day in the area should go see this, and anybody who likes their musical theater with a side of snarky punk attitude should check it out as well.

Plus, if you show up early, you can hang out on the set and have a few drinks for the full American Idiot experience. You can get your tickets right here, and trust me, as someone who saw the show once on Broadway, I can tell you that it's going to be awesome.
