February 2nd is Groundhog's Day and the time when our attention turns to Gobbler's Knob and Punxsutawney Phil. Phil is a little furry groundhog who allegedly has a predilection for letting us know if we will be having six more weeks of winter.

If you plan to take in a visit on February 2, the gates to Gobbler's Knob open early at 3:45AM, but Phil does not get awoken until 7:45AM. It is suggested that you dress warmly and bring a camera. These are just a few things garnered from the 27-page "Groundhog's Day Guide" put out by The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, there is a link here, but note that it is a PDF that will open, not a new webpage.

What everyone wants to know what happens if Phil does/does not see his shadow?

According to The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club, if Phil sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter weather. If he does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring.

Do you think that a groundhog is the only one that can predict the weather? Here is Deuce taking a stab at it. Which do you think is more accurate? Deuce or Punxsutawney Phil?
