If you love cookies you can't miss this event. Calling all cookie lovers November 30th and December 1st to Huguenot Street in New Paltz for the 3rd Annual Cookie Walk presented by Local at Heart. Once again this year just in time for all your holiday gatherings you will be able to purchase homemade cookies by the pound.

Local at Heart will be selling home baked cookies by the pound to benefit community food pantries. This event runs for two days, Friday November 30th from 5p to 8p and then again the next day Saturday December 1st from 10a to 3p. Local at Heart holds fundraisers throughout the year to benefit local food pantries. "We work to fill the cracks and build the infrastructure that helps feed our hungry neighbors. Our efforts are part of a collaborative community effort with a great group of caring partners." is how they describe themselves on their website.

Hopefully you can take time to help Local at Heart help our neighbors during the holidays and enjoy delicious homemade cookies. Local at Heart has enlisted the Misty Mountain Girl Scouts to bake and serve the customers attending the cookie walk. This year they have also partnered with SUNY New Paltz Dining Services by Sodexo. Those chefs will be adding to the cookie selection by offering Gluten Free and Vegan options.

So load up your bags and cookie tins and let's all meet for the 3rd Annual Cookie Walk at Huguenot Street November 30th and December 1st. Santa will be glad we did and so will deserving families this holiday season.
