Hudson Valley Brewery Sets Up Small Business Fund
Here in the Hudson Valley it is hard not to know a small business owner. All our towns and villages are full of hard working small business owners who are happy to call us their customers. It could be your favorite restaurant or bar. Maybe a farm market or the shop you buy gifts at for birthdays and holidays. Local business owners in the Hudson Valley take pride in knowing their customers whether they are local or visiting from somewhere around the globe. It is the cool thing about where we live. So that's why right now it is hard to watch so many of them struggling through this COVID 19 pause.
One local business has decided they can help. They created a small business relief fund in hopes that others will join in and help all the Hudson Valley business we enjoy frequenting in better times. Clemson Bros. Brewery shared of their Facebook page today that they have created a fund and started it with a donation of $10,000 from Clemson Bros Brewery. Their plan is to help local business owners in Orange and Ulster Counties. They will be assisted by local chamber groups to identify business who can use the support at this time and they are also asking that if you know of a business that needs help you contact them with that business information via email. Send it to email@example.com.
In their post they stated that "Clemson Bros. Brewery is concerned for all local businesses and the impact that COVID19 will have on our success. Owner, Kenan Porter cannot move forward in good conscience without doing our best to help out all that are in need, as our small business community and neighbors struggle through this time, especially those who were unable to receive funding from state or federal outlets. With that said, we have made the decision to donate $10,000 to a fund we are creating that will go towards select businesses that are in need of assistance during these very hard times, and we hope that others will participate in adding more to the fund. It’s not much in the grand scheme of things, but every little bit helps, and we want to do our part because we know what it means to work hard for something and potentially lose everything."
They are encouraging everyone to help if you can. They have set up a page where you can donate. Follow this link to Donate.
