A Rhinebeck candy shop owned by 2 famous Hollywood actors was a hot topic on late night TV the other night. Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and discussed owning Samuel's Sweet Shop with fellow actor Paul Rudd.

Morgan and Rudd purchased Samuel's in Rhinebeck after the original owner Ira Gutner passed away. Both actors had moved to the Hudson Valley and were out to dinner one night after Gutner's passing and decided to save the store. Morgan was a longtime resident of Los Angeles before re-locating after working on movies in the area.

Anyone watching Walking Dead can expect Morgan to show up at some point this season as a key character in the show. CJ and Jess over at our sister station The Wolf are big Walking Dead fans, they've been following this season closely.

If you can't make it to Samuel's Sweet Shop on Main Street in Rhinebeck, the do offer sales on their website.
