Hudson Valley Correction Officer Accused of Having Sex with Inmate

A man employed as a correction officer in the Hudson Valley is accused of having sex with an inmate.

New York State Police from Somers barracks arrested 48-year-old Jeffrey Green of Brooklyn, for official misconduct and sexual abuse, both class A misdemeanors.

Green, formerly employed as a Correction Officer at Bedford Correctional Facility, was arrested as a result of a detailed investigation conducted jointly with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.

Police say an investigation revealed that in March of 2016, Green had an sexual encounter with a female inmate confined to the prison.

Green was arraigned in the Town of Bedford Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. He’s due back in court on July 13.

The State Police were assisted by the New York State DOCCS Office of Special Investigations.
