A Hudson Valley man was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly shouted at two young girls playing outside an elementary school.

On Monday Kingston Police responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle near John F Kennedy Elementary School in Kingston.

Police say an investigation revealed that James Jamieson, of the Town of Ulster placed two shouted threats towards two young girl who were playing on the playground at the elementary school.

Jamieson was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently being held in Kingston jail pending arraignment in Kingston City Court.
