If you missed the opportunity to celebrate with one, two, or get 'wasted away again in Mararitaville' in honor of National Margarita Day in February, let us give you '8 great' not to miss local spots to get your margarita on.

These Hudson Valley margarita spots are sure to fill your need whether you prefer salt or sugar, frozen or on the rocks, and here they are, in no particular order.

Santa Fe Woodstock at the Hotel Dylan:  Woodstock

'Drinks are always perfect,' with one reviewer citing it as a great place to 'eat, drink, and be merry.' They have an extensive margarita menu, with pours by the glass or half pitchers, and flavors ranging from mango to jalapeño, and everything in between.

Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant:  Middletown

Reviewers say that the 'service & food are always great, they're never disappointed, and the drinks have been described as delicious and the best around.'  One scroll through their Facebook and you'll see lots of smiling faces excited to be posing with their margarita glasses.

Cinco De Mayo 2, Poughkeepsie

Pictures of their drinks on social media for National Margarita Day were enough to get me excited to check out this Poughkeepsie spot.  Multiple reviews had one common word to describe their margaritas, delicious.

La Charla:  New Paltz

The signature margarita seems to be a popular recommendation from customers, one reviewer citing them as having the best margaritas in town.  A quick glance at the menu shows no shortage of choices, with more than 10 margarita flavors to pick from.

Tiajuana Mexican Restaurant & Cantina:  Mahopac

Not only do their margaritas get great reviews, one customer even went as far to recommend a specific bartender to make you one.  Margarita flavors include cilantro jalapeño, fire strawberry, and the one that caught my eye, the jumbo.

La Mision Ristorante:  Hudson

Customers talk about definitely returning to this newer Hudson, NY restaurant...especially for the margaritas. Their marg menu includes classics like strawberry and pineapple, and the growing in popularity jalapeño or coconut blends.

Casa Vallarta:  Lake Katrine

Many of the recent reviews rave about the staff and how attentive they are to their customers, and their margaritas are described as terrific and awesome (both words I would use to describe that photo below, right?).  Another newer spot with a great drink selection.

Margaritas Restaurant:  Wappingers Falls

How could we compile a comprehensive list of margarita places without including one named 'Margaritas!' Almost every picture on their feed shows someone enjoying one of the many different margarita options they offer.  One review stating they 'try a different flavor each time they visit.'
