The Hudson Valley is rallying behind a family that lost everything -- including their mother, home and pets -- in a fire.

Multiple fire departments responded to a second-alarm structure fire at a home on Crescent Avenue in Clintondale on Wednesday. The fire quickly spread to the second floor of the home and mobile life and additional ambulance where set to the scene for a patient.

After the blaze was put out, Theresa Korzeniecki, 49, and her two dogs, Cheyenne and Jaxson, were found dead, according to an obituary.

Korzeniecki was a life-long resident of the Highland. She was employed by Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie. She's survived by her husband, two children and nine siblings.

Josh Tatum who works in the Highland Central School District set up a GoFundMe for Korzeniecki's children and husband. As of this writing over $35,000 has been raised.

"Your support and compassion defy words," Tatum wrote on the GoFundMe.

The fire destroyed everything in the home. Tatum also wrote on the GoFundMe the family was in need of clothes and household items. The Hudson Valley community has responded with so much clothing, the family is no longer in need of clothes, but could still use some household items including large totes and storage containers.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3 to :00 p.m. at McHoul Funeral Home in Hopewell Junction.
