A Hudson Valley woman was arrested over allegations she fraudulently cashed checks at several banks.

On Friday, Town of Wallkill Police detectives arrested 38-year-old Amy Wase of Wallkill for criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny and identity theft.

Wase arrested after an investigation found that she had fraudulently cashed checks at several banks, police say.

Wase was released on her own recognizance until her next court appearance in the Town of Wallkill Court.
