Though I hold no technical certifications or awards to back it up, i'd like to consider myself a self-proclaimed soft pretzel expert. I'm not entirely sure when this very specific obsession started, maybe at my first ballgame at age two in the Bronx, getting my very first taste of a New York City pretzel, but for as long as I can remember, soft pretzels have been my favorite food.

The HV Twist & Salt Story

Hudson Valley Twist & Salt - Pretzels with Personality, is home to jumbo, soft, Bavarian-style pretzels, and founded by Jennifer Mac Kay. Jennifer first gained attention for her jumbo pretzels when she was co-owner of the popular Embers Wood-Fired Oven catering company. Jen's pretzels gained popularity during the pandemic, when her take-and-bake heart-shaped kits became a local hit, which was followed by the success of her Super Bowl and giant shamrock pretzels which she calls 'a creative crave-worthy way to celebrate.'

Giant Pretzels For Your Party Needs...Or Because You Want A Giant Pretzel For Yourself

You can pre-order these oversized ten-ounce pretzels that can be custom shaped into any letter or number to meet your party theme. Each pretzel serves three to four people.

Ahead of graduation season this year, Hudson Valley Twist & Salt has teamed up with Hudson Valley Floral to create a limited edition graduation package that includes a beautifully boxed “2” and “5” pretzel set (for the Class of ’25), salt, reheating instructions, and a fresh floral bouquet in your school colors.

Typical pickup for orders are Fridays at Eastdale Village, or a different day and location can be coordinated ahead of time. The jumbo pretzels are easy to reheat (and come with instructions), and are able to be stored in the freezer for up to six months.
