Be Careful When Buying Event Tickets New York
As summer fun wraps up and we head into fall there will be some annual events taking place that we are going to want to attend. Some of them we might even want to participate in so this piece of information is important.
When buying tickets to an event it is a good idea to buy them direct from the event organizers. This may be at the gate when you attend for maybe in dance online. What you want to be careful of is a third party acting as if they are a ticket or even a vendor retailer.
Goshen Track Warns of Scammers Leading Up to Their September Event
Unfortunately, in a world where scammers have no rules, they are happy to take your entertainment budget in the form of selling you bogus tickets to something or worst take your credit card information for illegal purchases.
The Goshen Historic Track in Goshen, New York is the latest business to warn about possible scamming around one of their upcoming events. On September 15th they will be hosting the 2nd Annual Junk in the Truck Plus Crafters. They recently shared a reminder to be cautious and to only use the track's official contact info for all inquiries.
In past years other events have also warned that buying tickets should always go through the official organizer. The Dutchess County Fair which begins next week put a warning outreach year to beware of secondary sellers possibly being a scam. So be sure to buy carefully.
As of yet no one particular scam has been identified but using the official website and going direct to the event for tickets and other monetary transactions is your safest bet.
