A simple trip to Walmart in Kingston, New York left one woman furious after reading a note that was left on her car in the parking lot.

For as long as they've been in business Walmart has been a place where people go to find just about anything. If you've spent time shopping at one of the six Walmart stores in the Hudson Valley you are well aware that at one time or another, you might see something weird, wild, or wacky, or maybe a combination of all three...LOL!

Hudson Valley Walmart Stores

With stores in Newburgh, Fishkill, Middletown, Monticello, Napanoch & Kingston there's always a store close by, which means we are never too far away from one. It also means there is always the possibility of a "cringe-worthy" situation to unfold like what happened to a Hudson Valley woman who was shopping at an Ulster County store over the weekend.

Here's What Happened

According to her Facebook page after she finished doing her shopping inside the Walmart store at 601 Frank Stottile Blvd, Kingston, NY she headed to the parking lot to put her bags inside the car and leave. Something she has done a million times before without incident.

Unfortunately, this time was going to be different because when she got to her car she noticed that someone had left a note on her windshield informing her that they had hit her car leaving behind more than just a scratch as you can see in the pictures she provided...

The good news at the time was that the person who hit the car didn't just leave the scene without saying anything, they did the right thing and left a note behind explaining what happened or at least that was what she thought.

She told us that she was thankful the person left a note with their phone number so she could contact them to discuss the damage but when she tried to call them she got quite a surprise. She told us that when she called the number it wasn't the person who answered instead she got an "I'm sorry your call can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again"

As you can imagine that was not the answer she was looking for and soon after wrote on Facebook,

"Hmmmmmm……Someone hits your car at Walmart and leaves this note, only to find out it’s not the correct phone number!!!!!!!! Who does this!!!!!KARMA!!!!!!!"

Soon after posting friends suggested that she contact Walmart to see if they have any CCTV footage of the incident to try and identify the person. Others worried that this might be some sort of scam but thankfully it's not. The only scam is that this woman is now going to have to pay for the damages to her car if she can't find the person who did it which doesn't seem right. I understand it's not a huge deal but there's something about it that just makes my blood boil which is why I decided to write about it.

If it was an honest mistake, hopefully, the person who wrote the note will see this article and reach out to us so we can connect them. If the wrong number was left on purpose because they wanted to look like they were doing the right thing, then SHAME ON THEM!!
