The new facility is located at 700 South Street, just off I-84. According to the developers, the building is approximately 422,983 square feet and sits on nearly 50 acres.

It was designed specifically for a major distribution or logistics operation.

Just How Big Is It?

The Newburgh South Logistics Center has:

  • 75 loading docks
  • 122 trailer parking spaces
  • 154 parking spaces
  • 40-foot ceilings
  • A 190-foot truck court
  • More than 422,000 square feet of space

Who Is Moving In?

The building is being marketed as a Class A logistics facility. Who's moving in is still an unanswered question.

Right now, there is no public announcement that a major company has signed a lease. The entire building is being marketed for lease.

So, no, I can't tell you that Amazon is moving in. Or Walmart. Or Home Depot. There are currently no public documents confirming any of those companies.

The developers built the facility before securing a tenant. Considering the size of the building, they're obviously hoping to land a pretty big one.

Could Mean Hundreds Of Jobs

Once a company moves in, this could become a pretty significant employer in the area. Project documents estimate the facility could support as many as 255 permanent jobs when fully occupied.

Location Makes Sense

The property is less than a mile from I-84 and about two miles from the I-84 and I-87 interchange. Stewart International Airport is also only about eight miles away.

The location was picked because if you're a company moving a lot of stuff around the Northeast, this is a pretty good place to be.
