Jeff Foxworthy is coming to the Hudson Valley next week. If you want to see him perform you might be a redneck but that's totally appropriate for this event.

The 1980s and 1990s were a great time for comedy and people couldn't get enough of it. Television networks were snatching up as many comedians as they could and giving them their own shows. These shows are still some of the best shows in syndication. Some of the best shows that were inspired by stand-up comedians include, Roseanne, Home Improvement, The Drew Carey Show, Everybody Loves Raymond and The King of Queens.

It may have been short-lived but Jeff Foxworthy had his own sitcom as well, The Jeff Foxworthy Show.

Jeff Foxworthy's Claims to Fame

The show lasted two seasons that aired from 1995-1996 on ABC and NBC. Foxworthy made a big comeback when he teamed up with Bill Engvall, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy for the Blue Collar Comedy tour.

Many know him now for hosting Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. He was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy.
