A Kingston man was arrested for allegedly walking the streets of Ulster County with a switchblade knife.

The Kingston Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit received a call about a suspicious man in the area of Post Street. Officials responded to the area to conduction an investigation.

Detectives soon found 36-year-old Ulysse D. Pierre of Kingston. He was taken into custody after he was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife, police say.

Pierre was brought to the Kingston Police Department and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
