
The Leaf Peeper Train To Poughkeepsie Is Now Running
We all know how popular the Hudson Valley is this time of year. Between apple and pumpkin picking, all of the fall-fun activities across the area, award-winning haunted attractions, there's one more thing, the scenery. I know many of us are guilty of taking for granted the gorgeous backdrop that we get to take in every single day, those views that people travel to the area just to get a glimpse of.
...maybe that's why you may feel like it has been busier in the area lately, people are coming to town for leaf peeping.

Prime Peeping Season Has Arrived
Though fall officially hit (according to the calendar) about a month ago, temperatures in the Hudson Valley haven't felt all that 'fall-like' until recently. That hasn't stopped out-of-towners and locals alike from heading into the great outdoors, and taking in the sights and scenes across the Hudson Valley for leaf peeping season.
According to the experts at Iloveny, we are in it right now, peak fall foliage has hit the Hudson Valley.

Did You Know There Are Extra MTA Trains For Leaf Peeping?
For those out-of-towners who want to get the full-fall experience, the Hudson Valley is the ultimate destination for peeping, in fact so much so that Metro-North adds extra trains just for the 'peeping' season.
The Metro-North Hudson Line once again has additional weekend trips between Grand Central and Poughkeepsie, appropriately named the 'Leaf Peeper' train service. These trains will get visitors to all the prime spots to get the best views and picture-perfect IG photos for the season.
Running now through November 5th, the five extra 'Leaf Peeper' trains will travel between GCT, Beacon and Poughkeepsie on both Saturdays and Sundays, with full schedules available here.
