The City of Newburgh has officially announced its Annual Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting, bringing holiday cheer to residents and visitors on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

This much-anticipated event will feature a festive parade and the lighting of Newburgh's Christmas tree.

  • Parade Start: 3:00 PM at the Department of Public Works Headquarters, 88 Pierce’s Road.
  • Tree Lighting: At approximately 6:00 PM on Lower Broadway in front of City Hall.
  • Parade Route: Covering a significant portion of the city, the parade will travel from Pierce’s Road to South Street, Broadway, Dubois Street, and through the East End and waterfront areas.

The parade will include decorated floats and vehicles from the Fire, Police, DPW, Water, and Recreation Departments, carrying Santa Claus and friends as they journey through Newburgh.

Fireplace and Fire Pit Coziness in These 10 Adirondack Restaurants

Nobody does a restaurant or tavern with a crackling wintertime fireplace than those types of places in the Adirondacks and the North Country. Here are a dozen great ones. Each has a roaring fire in the dining room or another part of the property ready to warm you up against the ADK chill. We even through in a firepit. These are comfy for sure. Some of them are small, and perfect for a couple of easy chairs and a cocktail to enjoy. Others are huge, hand laid stone works of art. All are calling you!
