A major Hudson Valley drug bust has resulted in 25 arrests, all but one felonies.

The Times Herald Record reports the Orange County drug sweep was conducted in Middletown, Newburgh, Port Jervis, New Windsor, Wallkill, Monroe and Washingtonville. This is the sixth sweep of its kind since January of last year. Many of the individuals taken into custody have previous felony convictions.

According to district attorney David Hoovler, many of the tips that led to the arrests were tips from the community. Orange County residents looking to report suspicious behaviour can call (845) 291-2106.

While 25 people were taken into custody, there are several suspects still at large. Hoovler states, "We're going to keep doing this, the drug trade drives every other crime in the county".
