Everyone has been waiting for former first round pick Dominic Smith's batting power to show up. And it might have done just that.

In the last 10 games, Smith has raised his batting average from .259 to .280 while hitting .395 over that time period. He's also added 4 home runs, and has brought his season total to 10. For most of the season, he was stuff at 2. He's added 10 RBI's with only 6 strikeouts at the same time.

He had SUCH a good bunch of games, he checked in on Baseball American's Hot Sheet. He's got a great left handed swing and holds down first base with authority, so here's to hoping he finally puts everything together and becomes the power hitter everyone thought he would be when he was drafted. Other former first round pick Gavin Cecchini did just that in Double A last year too, and he's so far continued his great hitting while moving onto Triple A Las Vegas.

He's also only 21. Be serious; were you done improving at whatever you were doing at 21?

That's a loaded question. Never mind.
