A missing Hudson Valley teen who was believed to be suicidal and in need of medical attention was found walking near I-84.

Marcus Michail, 13, was last seen Friday evening in Circleville. Officials believed the teenager was suicidal and likely in the need of immediate medical attention.

On Saturday around noon, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation received a call from Orange County Emergency Services asking for help in finding the boy. DEC officials were told the 13-year-old recently made threats about harming himself.

Two rangers were dispatched to assist in the search, which also included 40 firefighters from the towns of Chester, Circleville, Coldenham, Goshen and Mechanicstown, and 18 police officers from Crawford, Wallkill, Orange County Sheriffs and State Police.

On Saturday around 2:40 p.m., an unidentified person spotted a boy that matched Michail’s description walking near the intersection of Interstate 84 and Route 17 in the Town of Wallkill.

Officials quickly located the boy, in good health. He was taken to the Orange Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
