A woman is accused of leaving her two young children, both under the age of 2, alone in her car as she shopped at a Hudson Valley Walmart.

On Saturday, New York State Police from Ellenville responded to reports of two young children left alone in a parked car at the Napanoch Wal-Mart parking lot. Temperatures in the Hudson Valley on Saturday were around 90 degrees.

Police say their investigation determined that 25-year-old Seamji S. Crawford of Flushing, left her 1-year-old and 8-month-old children unattended, with the windows down and the car running, as she shopped at Wal-Mart for about seven minutes.

Crawford was charged with 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wawarsing Court on Sept. 16.
