Having kids is expensive - I know this, you know this if you are a parent, people who know people who have kids have probably figured this out too.  I'm not afraid to admit that I love a great deal, sale, or bargain when it comes to kids stuff, so I wanted to take a minute to share some info that will not only keep the kids occupied, but also save you a few dollars.

Your local library probably hosts some kid-geared events pretty regularly; story time, carnivals, themed parties and whatnot, but did you also know that you can get hooked up by signing out passes for local attractions from your library that will get you free or discounted admission?

Blodgett Memorial Library in Fishkill recently announced that they have passes available for  several museums and attractions, including:

-Mystic Aquarium

-Opus 40

-Boscobel

-Mohonk Preserve

-FDR Library

-Hudson Highlands Nature Museum

-Old Rhinebeck Aerodome

After seeing what Blodgett offers, I did some research into other local libraries and found the following resources:

Grinnell Public Library

Poughkeepsie Public Library District

East Fishkill Community Library

Highland Public Library

Be sure to check your local library to see what passes they offer, or check out their websites/social media pages for more.
