Move over, Ledgerock, there's a new home for sale in Dutchess County, and it's the most expensive property on the market.

For over a year, the $45,000,000 Ledgerock was not only the most expensive property currently for sale in the area, it was the most expensive listing in the entire history of Dutchess County. Too expensive, it seems, even for the mega-rich, as its price has tumbled to $28 million in recent months. Now the crown has moved to the newly-listed Canoe Hill house.

The most impressive part of Canoe Hill (other than the 63 acres that include a literal vineyard and wine production facility) is that the current property isn't the original location of the historic home. In fact it was "conveyed from its original 1700s location and reassembled" on the sprawling Millbrook, NY acreage, according to the listing.
