New music from Kurt Cobain? Seriously. When will we get to actually hear it?

It turns out there are new Kurt Cobain songs for Nirvana fans to hear.  In a press release from HBO announcing a May premiere date for the upcoming documentary "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck," the network also revealed that the film will include "previously unheard Cobain originals."  Kurt's family gave director Brett Morgen "no-holds-barred access" to the archives.

So in addition to the music, fans will also get a look at previously-unseen home videos, artwork, journals, and more.  "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck" is slated to debut on HBO May 4th, but it will have its world premiere at Sundance on January 24th.  The annual film festival in Park City, Utah runs from January 22nd through February 1st.
