The defendant, 62-year-old Dwayne Murray, of Mount Vernon is alleged to have repeatedly targeted a child under the age of 13 for sexual abuse. Murray has been charged with one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, a class B violent felony.

The press release went on to detail that Murray was 'arraigned on a felony complaint' that alleges two or more acts of sexual conduct against a child less than 13 years old. The complaint indicated that the conduct took place between October 1, 2023 and March 1, 2024, and at least once of the instances was oral sexual conduct.
