Due to unseasonably warm weather a Hudson Valley snow tubing park will be closed until President’s Day Weekend.

Orange County Parks announced that they are closing down the Orange County Snow Tubing and Winter Sports Park because of insufficient snow to operate the program. It’s anticipated the Parks Department will have enough cold weather in the coming week to make enough snow to re-open the hill on Saturday February 13, just in time for the President’s day weekend, which will include snow tubing hours on the Monday holiday

The snow tubing hill located at Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Montgomery stands at 800 feet. The park features two lifts, groomed lanes and specially built tubes designed for exciting rides. It costs Orange County residents $15 dollars for an hour and a half tubing session. It costs $20 for everyone else.

While snow tubing is the main draw, the park will also feature an ice skating rink, sledding hill and cross-country ski trails.

Those interested in tubing next weekend are encouraged to call 845-457-4949.
