According to The Weather Channel and NASA, next month we are set to see the largest supermoon this century. The actual definition of a supermoon is a new moon or full moon that "that occurs with the moon is within 90% of its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit." Yes, it's very scientific. The next supermoon is said to be on November 14th, but this won't be like the other supermoons you have seen. This will be the closest the moon has been in 2016 and the closest it's been in the 21st century.

How cool is that?

NASA is also reporting that this will be the closest the moon will be until November 25, 2034. Following the Nov. 14 supermoon, we will see the last supermoon of 2016 on Dec. 14.

Set your calendars and get your cameras and telescopes ready. We are about to see the moon up close and personal November 14th. Did you get any good shots of this past weekends supermoon? Share them with us on Facebook!
