Meet The Headless Horseman at The Old Dutch Church Fest of Sleepy Hollow

After a 3-year hiatus, The Old Dutch Church Fest returns to Sleepy Hollow! The 3-weekend event will be full of food, fun, and folklore!

The Old Dutch Church Fest

The Old Dutch Church Fest started this passed weekend of the 14th and 15th, but that is okay because they still have two more weekends! The Festival continues October 21st and 22nd, and October 28th and 29th! The festival runs from 11 am to 4 pm each day!

Enjoy the grounds of the church which plays a pivotal role in Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"! Volunteers from the congregation serve up bratwurst and beer to support the care and upkeep of the historic, 3 acre burial ground. You may even spot the headless horseman himself riding among the ancient gravestones!

Besides being the setting of a Halloween ghost story, the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery holds the burial grounds for a number of historical figures. Below is a list of some of the famous figures who reside in the grounds. Is there someone we missed? Let us know!
