It's Dutchess County Fair week and we can't help but reminisce a little bit. One year ago tonight, Third Eye Blind kicked off the fair in style. It was a clear night last August 23rd and the crowd was buzzing with excitement.

Behind the scenes, time was running a little tight. The band would be there on time but they were driving up to Rhinebeck from NYC after flying in from another show. They were set to head back to the airport to fly back out when their set was done. Ah, the life of a rock and roll band.

The band took the stage on time and ripped through more than an hour and a half of all their great songs. Semi-Charmed Life, How It's Gonna Be and Graduate were all personal favorites.

The band was (and still is) in the midst of a resurgence, with crowd sizes continuing to grow and fans rediscovering their older material. We had a chance to talk to frontman Stephen Jenkins in the days leading up to their performance.
